Bootsy Collins, Tedeschi Trucks Band To Perform At NFL Playoff Games

While football will take center stage as the NFL playoffs begin this weekend, music fans will have some fun appearances to look out for during the games. On Saturday, January 14th, Tedeschi Trucks Band‘s Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi will perform the National Anthem before their beloved Jacksonville Jaguars face off against the Los Angeles Chargers on their home turf at Jacksonville, FL’s TIAA Bank Field. Derek and Susan have always been vocal about their devotion to the Jags. Tedeschi previously sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of a 2017 Jaguars playoff game, and Trucks later remotely offered up a solo guitar rendition of the anthem during the 2020 season, but it doesn’t take a performing gig to get them out to TIAA Bank Field—they were just there this past weekend as fans to cheer the team on in its final regular season game.
